As a 100% employee-owned company, employees share in the long-term success we build together.With flexible ways of working and meaningful development opportunities, you’ll build a career you can be proud to stand behind.The Opportunity As the Project Procurement Manager - Distributed Infrastructure, you will have the opportunity to:Perform assigned procurement activities for a proposal(s) or project(s)Lead others with procurement responsibilities while requiring minimal supervisionKey ResponsibilitiesPurchases assigned equipment, construction, and service contracts for projects following established policies and proceduresAssists in project setup of procurement related activitiesExecutes and manages the procurement process on assigned contracts including bid list preparation, solicitation of quotes, and evaluating, negotiating and awarding of contracts .Leads negotiations for assigned procurements and/or construction contractsCollaborates to resolve complex claims or other contract issuesEnsures contract documents are issued correctly and on scheduleAssists with the development and monitoring of project budgets and schedules (man-hours, cost, procurement milestone durations)Assists with the establishment and/or monitoring of procurement goalsMonitors project procurement activities and reports statusMay develop, create and lead presentations to internal and external client and joint venture partnersMay be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a project or projects May also lead and coordinate the entire budgetary pricing effort on a project or projectsFiles appropriate documents and follows filing rulesActs in capacity of a "lead person" Does not have management responsibility for the professionals to whom they provide work direction Possible positions receiving direction: Procurement Representative, Procurement Administrator, Expediter Preferred QualificationsBA or BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred Years of relevant experience can substitute for a degree Preferred Skills:Proficient Analytics - Creation and InterpretationStrong Attention to DetailProficient Budget Development and ManagementStrong Communication - Written and OralStrong Computer Skills - Databases and MS OfficeStrong Contract ComprehensionStrong Data EntryProficient MathematicsStrong Organizational SkillsProficient Presentation SkillsStrong Problem SolvingProficient Process and Technical WritingProficient Project Process ManagementProficient Schedule and Planning UnderstandingBasic Training DevelopmentBasic Workflow and Team Management Minimum QualificationsMinimum of seven (7) years of relevant experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Work Environment/Physical DemandsTravel may be requiredHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.Salary PlanPCR: ProcurementJob Grade016Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
