PLM Project ManagerLocation: Morgan Hill, California ContractJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PLM Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning and execution of a large-scale Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PLM implementations, data migration, project governance, stakeholder management, and cross-functional program delivery. This role will oversee the migration from FlexPLM or Any PLM to a custom-built PLM platform while ensuring data integrity, business continuity, and successful user adoption.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & DeliveryLead the end-to-end planning and execution of the PLM migration program.Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and success metrics.Establish and drive project governance, reporting cadence, and escalation processes.Manage project budgets, resources, schedules, and overall delivery.Data Migration & System TransitionOversee migration of product data, including BOMs, materials, specifications, and workflows.Define and implement data migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.Ensure data quality, integrity, auditability, and compliance throughout the migration lifecycle.Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Sourcing, Merchandising, and IT.Align priorities across executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key milestones to stakeholders.Risk & Issue ManagementIdentify and proactively manage risks related to data loss, business disruption, and system dependencies.Develop mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and rollback procedures.Resolve project issues effectively to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.Change Management & User AdoptionDrive change management initiatives, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement activities.Lead user training programs and support transition to the new PLM platform.Ensure business readiness and successful adoption post-migration.Cutover & Go-Live ManagementDefine and execute cutover strategies (phased or big-bang approach).Plan and manage go-live activities, including: Data freezeFinal reconciliationAccess revocation and transition activitiesEnsure smooth go-live execution and post-implementation stabilization.Required Qualifications8–12 years of experience in Project Management or Program Management.Proven experience managing PLM implementations, upgrades, or large-scale data migration projects.Strong experience with FlexPLM (preferred).Solid understanding of data migration methodologies, ETL processes, data mapping, and validation techniques.Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.Strong risk management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation programs.
