This is a mostly remote role with a stable caseload and direct client exposure.Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of construction-site injury and general liability matters from intake through resolutionDefend owners, general contractors and subcontractors in claims under Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6)Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, and dispositive motions, including summary judgment motions on Labor Law liabilityTake and defend depositions, and work with experts on liability and damagesHandle indemnification, contribution and risk-transfer issues, including tenders and contractual indemnity claimsAttend court conferences and mediations, and prepare cases for trialReport regularly to carriers and clients with case evaluations and recommendationsQualifications:J. xhyhwjd D. and admission to the New York State Bar5+ years of litigation experience in New York personal injury defenseExperience with Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6) strongly preferredGeneral liability or insurance defense background, ideally including carrier-facing reportingStrong writing and motion practice skillsAble to manage a caseload independently in a largely remote settingWhat We Offer:Mostly remote work arrangementCompetitive compensation and benefitsSteady, well-supported caseload with direct carrier and client contactCollaborative team environmentThe annual salary for this position is between $160,000 and $225,000.
