Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Duties:
- Operate a tractor-trailer, Dry van, or other large trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Drive safely and follow all traffic regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Load and unload goods, using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Manage delivery schedules, including coordinating with customers and managing logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
- Meet or exceed customer service standards, ensuring timely and courteous delivery of goods.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record a plus.
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver, with a focus on route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other equipment.
- Knowledge of load unload procedures and ability to perform them safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and standing for long periods.
