Patient Transport Aide

Schedule: Full time What will you do? * Provides safe transportation for patients, specimens, and equipment and other related tasks assigned. * Coordinates these services within the Hospital to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers. * Actively support the mission, goals, and objectives of the Hospital. Key Responsibilities * Verifies all information needed to safely transport patient * Explains transport procedure to the patient prior to moving ·Assures patient comfort during transport * Assures that patient privacy is respected at all times * Monitors patient's condition during transport * Demonstrates ability to handle confidential information with discretion following system confidentiality guidelines Qualifications: * High School graduate or equivalent * C.N.A certification preferred. * Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire * One year of previous health care experience preferred * Demonstrates the CARES Values and Standards of Cooperation at all times. * Requires weekend & evening flexibility.
