Our workplace is built on teamwork, respect, and shared accountability.The Role:The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a hands-on leader who supports the General Manager in executing daily store operations and maintaining team performance. The AGM reinforces expectations, monitors execution, and helps keep the store running efficiently across all shifts.When the General Manager is not in the store, the AGM serves as the acting leader. In this role, the AGM directs the team, ensures operational standards are met, and maintains adherence to all procedures.This role is critical to ensuring consistency across shifts, reinforcing team accountability, and driving execution of our core standards to deliver a reliable guest experience.Responsibilities:Serves as the acting general manager when the general manager is not in the storeSet and adjust shift priorities, clearly communicating expectations for operations, teamwork, and guest serviceWork alongside the team to guide, prioritize, and complete tasks efficientlyReinforce company policies, safety practices, and maintain a respectful, consistent work environmentSupport staffing needs, document performance concerns, and partner with the GM and HR as neededEnsure smooth daily operations across retail, fuel, and kitchen (where applicable) while delivering Wicked Awesome Customer Service (WACS) serviceMaintain Clean and Bright Stores (CABS) standards and Fresh Delicious and Ready (FREDDY) food standardsComplete key operational tasks including cash handling, inventory, merchandising and gas price monitoringComplete reports accuratelyResolve guest concerns promptlyRequirements:Skills & Qualifications:Required:High School Diploma or GEDBasic computer and system skills (POS, email, reporting tools)Strong communication skills, including active listening and the ability to give clear directionWillingness to work a flexible schedule and be on call as business needs requireRequired to complete Level 1 ServSafe Certification after hire; company support providedPreferred:Previous retail, food service, or leadership experience preferredPhysical Demands and Environmental Condition Requirements:This position requires performing a range of physical tasks in a retail work environment.Frequent:Walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, squattingLifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.Pushing/pullingUsing hands, operating equipment, and speaking with guests and team membersExposure to hot and cold temperatures, weather, and general store atmospheric conditionsOccasional:Additional physical tasks as required by store operationsTravel Requirements and Work Schedule:This is a non-exempt (hourly) positionWork schedules may vary based on business needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional on-call responsibilities.
