Cath Lab Tech Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2+ years of experience required License: Active state license required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Willing to apply for state licensure if not currently held Must respond within 30 minutes for emergency alerts Must be willing to accept an 84-hour work schedule per two weeks Description: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are necessary. ARRT and state license are required. Candidates willing to apply for their state licensure once offered will be considered. The schedule is Monday to Friday with one rotating weekday off each week. Call requirements are 8-15 days per month with one weekend every three weeks. Emergency response for alerts is required within 30 minutes. The call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Radiology Technologist. There are 2 Cath Labs, and rotation in the EP Lab is expected. The average number of procedures ranges from 8 to 10 per day. The facility handles approximately 6 to 8 emergency cases per month. Scrubs and lead aprons are provided. Responsibilities include table panning, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases. Assistance with devices and tools such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, and Penumbra is expected. Device implants include Pacemakers and ICDs, as well as peripheral diagnostics and interventions. Cross-training in EP is available, with preference given to candidates with EP experience. Both radial and groin access techniques will be utilized.
