About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting. - Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma facility, including pediatric experience. License: - State nursing license (pending licenses accepted, must be in hand before the start date). Certifications: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Must-Have: - Epic charting system experience. - Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center. - Pediatric patient care experience. Description: This position requires individuals to provide critical care in the emergency room. Candidates must be prepared to work a night shift schedule. Every other holiday is required. Candidates should have experience with patient ratios of 4:5. Weekends may be required based on staffing needs. Approval of time off is limited. The role involves caring for a diverse population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census approximately 165 visits. Candidates are expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary support services. This position will not accept applicants without the specified trauma center experience or pediatric experience. Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed.
