Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. This is an opportunity for a highly organised and commercially aware professional to manage project programmes, budgets, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.


The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for planning and coordinating construction activities, appointing and managing subcontractors, and directing site-based teams and consultants. Key duties will include developing project plans and schedules, monitoring progress against milestones, managing costs and variations, reviewing risk, and maintaining accurate project documentation. You will chair progress meetings, provide clear updates to clients and senior stakeholders, resolve issues promptly, and ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, building regulations, health and safety requirements, and quality procedures. You will also support procurement, contract administration, commissioning, handover, and the resolution of defects.


Applicants should have proven experience managing construction projects through the full project lifecycle, ideally supported by a relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering, building, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, cost control, programme management, and health and safety is essential. You will need excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with project management and reporting software is desirable. A recognised professional qualification or membership of an appropriate industry body would be advantageous. The role may require regular travel between project sites, and a valid driving licence may be needed.
