Assistant Store ManagerLocation: Scranton, PA (PriceRite of SCRANTON)Job Summary: The Assistant Store Manager is accountable to the Store Manager and is responsible for directing, developing and managing store staff to protect company assets, maintain store conditions and presentation, maximizing sales and gross profits, customer and team member relations through proper controls such as sanitation, merchandising, payroll, required record keeping and compliance of Company, State and Federal policies, rules, procedures, regulations and laws.Minimum Required Qualifications: The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Two-plus years related management experience. These functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Manages, supervises and provides leadership to 30-70 team members in the store.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Maintains great store conditions per company standard every day; to include compliance with company and governmental sanitation and safety standards.Maximizes store sales and profitabilityDevelops and maintains a team concept to improve associate morale, communication, community involvement and ultimately working conditions.Achieves or surpasses productivity and payroll goals in each department.Controls and executes shrink standards while ensuring proper inventory levels and control. Masters the CGO functionality.Establish and maintain a working relationship with all support staff: Price Rite Staff, Vendors and Wakefern Staff.Manages the necessary recruitment, development, training and counseling of all employees and identifies potential promotable people.
