Electronic Assembly Quality Inspector

SAIC is seeking an Electronic Assembly Quality Inspector to support our team in Indianapolis, IN .

JOB DUTIES :

Experience inspecting printed circuit boards, circuit card assemblies, or electronic assemblies in a manufacturing or repair depot environment
Advanced knowledge of IPC_A_610 and J_STD_001 standards; IPC certification strongly preferred
Strong understanding of SMT, through-hole, rework, and soldering processes
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and process documentation
Skilled in using microscopes and inspection equipment
Experience documenting inspection results, writing quality reports, and communicating findings to engineering and production teams
Demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make quality decisions with minimal supervision

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE :

AA Degree and six (6) years related experience or High School Diploma and eight (8) years related experience.
Preferred background in quality, engineering, Aerospace, or military specifications.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Excellent technical, analytical, and engineering qualifications with outstanding customer service skills.
Experience with Customer Service, Support & Communication.
Experience with document control, technical documentation, blueprints & schematics.
Problem Identification & Resolution.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE :

Experience with measurement tools and X-ray Inspection
ISO 9000; ISO 9001; AS9100; IPC-J-STD; IPC-A-610
