The schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts. Holiday rotation is also required. Clinicians may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Floating to sister facilities may be required. Candidates with 2 years of experience in sterile processing are encouraged to apply. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role. The technician will need to have experience in sterilization procedures. Knowledge in decontamination and assembly/wrapping is essential. Preferred experience includes working with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases. National certifications (CBSPD or HSPA) are required. BLS certification is not required for this position. Candidates must provide all time off requests at the time of submission. No requests for time off will be approved after the contract is signed. The facility allows for one shift off every two weeks. During hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should be aware of this possibility. There are specific guidelines for lab requirements that must be completed within designated timeframes. It is essential to ensure compliance with all pre-start requirements on time.
