As a member of the Audit team, the candidate will focus on audits of Credit Risk Management. Responsibilities Develop engagement planning documentation for assigned areas to communicate rationale for scoping decisions, and develop audit programs to ensure adequate coverage of risks. Design and execute appropriate audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of internal controls. Document auditee processes and procedures, review and analyze evidence, and identify potential issues. Prepare clear, organized, and complete documentation to support work performed, including draft findings. Establish and maintain good client and team relations during engagements. Effectively communicate information and audit progress to team, clients and auditor‑in‑charge. Self prioritize and effectively plan your own work activities managing multiple priorities and tasks across the team to deliver quality results. Proactively take on additional work to support the team when possible. Provide coaching, on‑the‑job training, and feedback to audit staff, including junior associates and recent hires. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or military experience At least 2 years of experience in auditing, risk management, financial analysis, or a combination Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration Professional certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) 1+ year of experience in Credit Risk Management at a large bank or financial services organization Experience in credit policy or underwriting from a financial institution or consulting Experience in decision making and problem solving using data analytics and quantitative modeling At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Charlotte, NC: $87,700 - $100,100 for Senior Staff Auditor McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Senior Staff Auditor New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 for Senior Staff Auditor Plano, TX: $87,700 - $100,100 for Senior Staff Auditor Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Senior Staff Auditor Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
