About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience; 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to various units. Description: Responsible for cardiac monitoring and administering cardiac drips. Must read telemetry strips every 4 hours. Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas. Experience with TR Band is required. Clinician to patient ratio on days and evenings is up to 5:1. Clinician to patient ratio on nights is up to 6:1. Care for emergency department border patients. Act as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit. Provide care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. The facility has a bed count of 371. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotate between day/evening and night shifts as needed. Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically EPIC, is required.
