HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician

Administers preventive maintenance and repairs for all heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment including lubrication, changing filters, cleaning coils, adjustment of dampers and controls, and changing motors and fans. Flexible work shifts are required.

Job Task Descriptions - Frequency - Percentage of Time:

• Maintains preventative maintenance program and completes documentation as required. - Daily - 35%
• Perform water treatment testing for all open and closed loops report deficiencies to associated HVAC Technician. - Daily - 20%
• Changes air filters and lubricates equipment as required. - Daily - 10%
• Completes work orders and requests as assigned and maintains daily work log. - Daily - 10%
• Provides support for other departments as required. - Daily - 5%
• Covers for HVAC technician during vacation periods. - Daily - 5%
• Logs equipment performance as required. - Daily - 5%
• Keep equipment clean and free of obstacles. - Daily - 5%
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested. - Daily - 5%

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial or institutional HVAC systems
• Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool
• Colorado driver's license
