Loan Operations Specialist

The Loan Operations Specialist at First Utah Bank plays a key role insupporting the daily loan operational functions of the Bank. Thisindividual ensures that back-office processes run smoothly,accurately, and in compliance with applicable banking regulations,internal policies, and established procedures. The Loan OperationsSpecialist serves as a resource for both staff and customers, with acommitment to excellence in service and operational integrity. Thisposition is primarily performed in a standard office environment. Therole may require extended hours during peak periods such as quarter oryear ends. Job Responsibilities Operations Handle loan accounting and operations functions including bookingloans received from various closing departments, handling accountingof fees and expenses. Process loan related invoices. Handle all loan maintenance requests received from branches/loan departments. Review and prepare participation correspondence and accounting. Review suspense reconciliations for policy exceptions andaccounting errors. Correspond with branches/departments for clearingand with Internal Audit department for status updates. Assist Construction Loan Department with related loan entriesdisbursed to subcontractors Assist branches with loan payments. Print and prepare daily accounts payable checks Complete customer research as requested by branches/departments. Serve as a back-up to other Accounting and Operational functions. Other duties, as assigned Team Management and Development Be an active participant of a collaborative, high-performanceculture that prioritizes customer service, accuracy and accountability. Provide cross-functional support to other departments. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure all loan operations comply with applicable regulations. Complete SARs as required. Follow established dual-control procedures and internal controlsfor all sensitive operations. Assist in gathering information for internal reviews and audits. Monitor exception reports and take corrective action to resolveitems in a timely manner. Experience and Skills: Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Some college preferred. Minimum one to two years of experience in banking operations, loanoperations, or a related financial services role. Teller experienceor customer-facing banking experience a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degreeof attention to detail. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to workcollaboratively with teammates and customers. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidentialcustomer and Bank information.
