Overview

\n

East West Bank is currently seeking a Team Manager for our CRE team in NYC to initiate and develop new deposit and commercial lending relationships and close sales of deposit services and loans. Actively partner with RM's and other EWB sales professionals in the Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Private Banking and Middle Market segments to acquire, expand and retain targeted customer relationships. Responsible for achieving target deposit and loan goals, manage a team of RM(s) to expand and grow existing portfolio by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

\n

Contribute and lead the existing Commercial Real Estate Lending team success annual sales & revenue plans by:

• Closing Deposit sales and loans.
\n
• Actively prospects new customers and penetrates the existing client relationships.
\n
• Assumes the overall responsibility to conduct due diligence, assess the risks and structure the credit facilities.
\n
• Participate in client meetings & proposals.
\n
• Initiating Deposit sales independently through prospecting and projects/initiatives.
\n
• Encourage and lead team of RM(s) and PM(s) to acquire new relationships and deepening existing ones.
\n
• Lead client meetings & author client proposals. Collaborate with appropriate EWB Bank partners.
\n
• Aggressive calling program targeting Controllers, Property managers, and 1031 Exchange, title and escrow companies, HOA, fiduciary segments for new business growth of all existing relationships. Responsible for carrying out targeted deposit generating strategies.
\n
• Preparing documentation and following through for proper booking, of sales credit, checkbooks, etc. Following-up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
\n
• Provide first-point-of-contact support for Deposit related and other non-credit matters for RM customers and customers who self-select to contact the incumbent.
\n
• Act as an expert advisor for the clients. Resolve client requests and/or issues independently.
\n
• Maintain databases and results tracking as needed to support the Division's sales of Deposit products and growth.
\n
• Make presentations to Division employees, Division Managers, and senior management regarding Deposit.
\n
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing or 15+ years equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
\n
• Minimum of 15 years sales/financial services experience.
\n

\n

Masterful at Commercial Real Estate relationship building, structuring, leading portfolio and sales teams, and business development with strong influential and decision-making skills. Must be familiar with local Real Estate laws, title/escrow, foreclosure and workout structuring.

• Demonstrated business acumen with knowledge of unique industries and markets in conjunction with a broad knowledge of business banking products and services
\n
• • Excellent communication skills with all levels of external and internal clients
\n
• • Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, management or a related field.
\n
• Completion to a corporate or other formal credit training program is preferred
\n
• 10+ years of relevant CRE business experience
\n
• Diverse underwriting, credit structuring, and bank product knowledge
\n
• Must have demonstrated track record to sell and build relationships with C-level executives
\n
• Demonstrate high level of expertise in sales, networking, negotiation, business acumen, relationship building and execution of responsibilities
\n
• Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Have the flexibility to travel
\n
• Be a critical thinker, capable of developing strategy and making recommendations to management for advancement of bank’s objectives

Compensation

\n

\n

The base pay range for this position is USD $200,000.00/Yr. - USD $275,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
