We're looking for someone to join our team as a Medication Management Coordinator.

The Medication Management Coordinator is responsible for overseeing medication inventory management, purchasing activities, auditing processes, and compliance monitoring for the organization. This role ensures accurate procurement, tracking, replenishment, and reconciliation of pharmaceuticals and supplies while maintaining compliance with HRSA 340B regulations, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal requirements. The coordinator collaborates with pharmacy, clinic, supply chain, finance, and compliance teams to optimize inventory performance, prevent diversion, and support program integrity. The coordinator will also serve to assist the Consultant Pharmacist in conducting medication management and medication storage audits for ambulatory clinics in accordance with California Board of Pharmacy requirements.

Essential Functions:

1. 340B Inventory Management
   1. Manage and maintain clinic and pharmacy inventory associated with the 340B program.
   2. Conduct routine physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliations.
   3. Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and product utilization trends.
   4. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages.
   5. Optimize inventory practices to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
2. Purchasing and Procurement
   1. Execute and monitor medication purchasing activities for clinics and pharmacies.
   2. Review purchasing patterns and ensure compliance with approved procurement processes and contract compliance.
   3. Coordinate medication replenishment through split-billing and inventory management systems.
   4. Work closely with wholesalers and manufacturers to address purchasing issues and product shortages.
   5. Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and maximize 340B program benefits.
3. Auditing & Compliance
   1. Perform routine inspections of clinic medication storage areas to ensure compliance with requirements related to medication security, labeling, storage conditions, expiration dating, and controlled substance management.
   2. Assist in maintaining audit records, reports, and regulatory documentation required for clinic accreditation, licensing, and Board of Pharmacy inspections.
   3. Monitor compliance with medication-related policies and procedures across clinic locations and provide education to staff regarding best practices.
   4. Participate in regulatory readiness activities and support responses to inspections, surveys, and compliance reviews.
   5. Collaborate with clinic leadership, pharmacy operations, nursing, and compliance teams to improve medication-use processes and patient safety.
   6. Generate audit and compliance reports for the Consulting Pharmacist, Pharmacy Leadership, and Quality departments as requested.
   7. Perform routine internal audits of 340B inventory, purchasing records, and clinic utilization data.
   8. Monitor compliance with HRSA 340B regulations and organizational policies.
   9. Assist with preparation for internal, external, HRSA, and manufacturer audits.
   10. Review reports to identify potential diversion, duplicate discounts, or compliance risks.
   11. Document audit findings and recommend corrective action plans.
4. Other duties as assigned

2. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
3. Active Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist license
4. Ability to work well with other people.
