Job Title: 1st Class Structural Welder
Location: Houma, LA
Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time

Summary:
Seeking an experienced structural welder to perform high-quality welding on steel structures. Must read blueprints, follow safety standards, and produce code-quality welds.

Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years structural welding experience
  • SMAW & FCAW proficiency
  • Blueprint and weld symbol reading
  • Carbon steel experience
  • Pass weld test (6G or similar)
  • Strong safety practices

Preferred:

  • Shipyard/offshore or industrial experience
  • AWS certifications
  • MIG/TIG experience
  • Fitting/fabrication skills

Interview Questions:

  1. What welding processes are you strongest in?
  2. How do you read weld symbols on prints?
  3. Describe fixing a bad weld.
  4. How do you ensure quality?
  5. Experience in fast-paced work?
  6. What safety steps do you follow?
