DishwasherThe Dynamo Room is a brand new steak house located at the recently developed Penn Station District in Manhattan. The raw bar & grill is the newest project from Sunday Hospitality (Rule of Thirds, Sunday In Brooklyn, Cafe Chelsea, Hotel Chelsea Lobby Bar, El Quijote, Bedford Post Inn), opening in March 2025.What We OfferWe offer a competitive wage, alongside a 401(k) retirement plan, PTO, and a full medical, dental, and vision insurance package.About This RoleThe Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant cleanliness standards of the Sunday Hospitality are executed and upheld. They need to be well versed in the chemicals for the machine and how the machine functions. They also need to be able to setup and breakdown the machine properly at the beginning and end of each shift ensuring the proper function and longevity of the equipment. They also need to be familiar with and drive sanitation regulations, as well as showcase those standards within the operation.Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:Setup, breakdown and organization of the dish pit according to standards set by the chefRestocks chemical and items that were depleted during the shiftMaintains sanitation standards of the dish area and kitchenInspects cleanliness and organization of the workspace and workstations, and kitchen overall. Sweeping and mopping the floor every hour, rectifying any deficienciesWhat You BringMinimum of 1+ years' experience as a Receiver in a high-volume restaurantA passion for excellence in hospitalityA team player attitude, willing to help out wherever necessaryThe ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environmentFlexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permitsThe ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbsKneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of timeSHG Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
