Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience, Epic proficiency, and active MI RN licensure

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of an acute care teaching hospital
• Level II Adult Trauma Center setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with 5x8 shifts also considered
• On-call required 2-3 days per week
• Floating to main OR required within scope as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Orthopedic and Neurosurgery experience required
• Experience in General OR, Hybrid OR, and Trauma settings required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, neurosurgery, orthopedic, general surgery, and trauma cases
• Support advanced procedures such as CABG, TAVR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, craniotomy, spinal fusion, and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Maintain competency in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia
• Follow Universal Protocol and infection control standards in the OR
• Free parking available on site
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
