PRN Dispensing Nurse

Our innovative integrated behavioral model empowers our team to make a meaningful impact every day. We seek an experienced PRN Dispensing Nurse for our Elkton, MD and Dover, DE locations. The Dispensing Nurse works with the Nurse Manager, Medical Director, and Clinical Supervisor to ensure appropriate medical care for patients, complete medical record documentation, and dispense medications utilized in treatment. Responsibilities PRN as needed between 5:00 am–1:00 pm Monday–Friday and every other Saturday 6:00 am–9:00 am Perform all duties within regularly scheduled hours Greet each patient to confirm identity and medication using two patient identifiers Provide medical services in compliance with Federal, State, CARF, and COMAR regulations and standards Manage medication inventory and dispense medication according to protocol Process medical orders and conduct physical examinations and evaluations as required Perform recall procedures in accordance with program protocol Maintain accurate records; submit and file all documentation within 24 hours of event Collect specimens and submit/process appropriately Participate in reviews of new, readmission and transfer clients Provide intervention in crisis situations Assist Charge Nurse in daily program operation Assess clients for treatment needs and interventions Coordinate with outside agencies for referrals, dosage verification and other elements of care; represent the agency professionally in person and over the phone Deliver medication as needed Maintain a cooperative and positive attitude toward patients, staff and visitors Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Licensed in the state of Maryland as an LPN Minimum 1 year experience in medication‑assisted treatment CPR certified within 3 months of hire Will be required to submit to PPD screening or provide record of screening from previous employer within the past year Benefits Competitive compensation up to $33 per hour (pay varies by location, experience, licensure, education and skill level) Full benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Life Insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid professional development time Student loan repayment program Paid vacation time And more Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health has led outpatient treatment since 1973, serving communities across Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania.
