Teacher: World Languages (Spanish, dual language preferred) - Doherty High School 2026-2027 Location: Worcester Public Schools Doherty Memorial High School - Worcester, Massachusetts Starting Date: Aug 27, 2026 Work Year: 185 days Salary: Appropriate step on Teacher's salary schedule Job Description These positions are accountable for delivering high-quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards and the rules and regulations of Worcester Public Schools. Principal Accountabilities Keep curriculum content up to date. Effectively plan and assess curriculum and instruction. Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate. Manage classroom environment effectively. Teach effectively, making learning goals clear and using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques. Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including technology, to increase student learning and confidence. Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement. Promote equity and appreciation of diversity, ensuring equitable opportunities for students, including those with special needs, 504 plans and second language learners.
