Patent Agent/Patent Associate (Mid-Level) - Austin

Overview Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, currently has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a Patent Agent/Patent Associate in our Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Austin, TX office. Responsibilities This position will support the IP Practice working on the strategic development, procurement, and counseling of patent portfolios. Drafting patent applications in the computer arts (e.g., software, AI/ML/LLMs, FinTech, web applications, telecommunications, integrated circuits, etc.) Prosecuting patent applications Qualifications Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Candidates with a degree or an advanced degree in computer engineering and/or computer science are preferred, although candidates with degrees in electrical engineering or other relevant experience will also be considered. Experience drafting complex software patent applications is required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be comfortable working directly with clients, and possess strong writing and analytical skills.
