Brake Press Set-Up OperatorWe are currently looking for a Brake Press Set-Up Operator in Somerset, NJ. A well-established sheet metal fabricator is looking for experienced, dedicated, and hard working individuals who want to continue their career while earning a great paycheck.ScheduleMonday - Friday6:00am - 2:30pm (multiple shifts available)Competitive Compensation Offered!$22-28/hr. (Based on experience)Brake Press Set-Up Operator Responsibilities:Set up and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Brake PressChoose and install the correct punch and dieReview technical drawings, blueprints and job order to determine exact material specifications and bending processSet up and run prototypes and production parts independentlyConduct test bends, measure parts using precision tools, adjust machine settings until the first piece meets quality standardsInspect parts for quality and conformance to blueprint specificationsMonitor the machine during operation for malfunctions, perform routine cleaningMaintains work areaLoads and unloads metal blanks.May perform other related duties or work at a different workstation as production needs require.Brake Press Set-Up Operator Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturingMinimum 5 years of experience operating Cincinnati and Amada Press Brakes or equivalent.High School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to read blueprints and measure part, understand metallurgyAbility to use precision tools like calipers, micrometers, height gauges.Ability to meet productivity standards, completing work in a timely manner.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to thrive in an evolving, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Detail-orientatedExperience in safety procedures including proper use of emergency stops and machine guardsEnergetic and eager to learn.DependableMicrosoft Office (Word, Outlook) a PLUSPrevious experience in metal shop production a PLUSImmediate Benefits Upon HireMedical PlanDirect DepositDental PlanVision/Eyewear PlanLife InsuranceReferral Bonus
