Registered Nurse Coordinator

Registered Nurse-Professional Practice and Development CoordinatorThe Registered Nurse-Professional Practice and Development Coordinator duties include, but are not limited to the following:Demonstrates leadership experience, and creative approaches to management of complex patient care.Managing intricate patient care and actively participates in policy formulation and the adoption of evidence-based practices.Addresses disparities in patient care and organizational culture through effective leadership within management structures and Shared Governance, while evaluating outcomes at the program or service level.Leading and facilitating the Nursing Professional Practice teams with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Nursing Service policies and procedures.Coordinator formally notifies Nursing Education to ensure relevant competency training and comprehensive deployment throughout the system.Will serve as back up to the staffing methodology coordinator including chairing applicable staffing methodology committee.Communicates and collaborates as an effective leader of the interprofessional team, at the expert level, with improved evidence-based and/or data-driven outcomes beyond the immediate practice setting.Meets the needs of the Veteran and as appropriate the Veteran's family, caregiver and/or significant other, the Veteran's representative, visitors to VA facilities, all VA staff and other customers while supporting VA missions.VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total RewardsPay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awardsPaid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territoryWork Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0730-1600Telework: Not authorizedVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorizedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not authorizedBargaining Unit Status: This position is part of the bargaining unit.
