Junior Estimator – Marine ConstructionJob Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join a well-established marine construction company in Westhampton Beach, NY . This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in building a career in construction, estimating, or project management .

No prior construction or estimating experience is required. The company is willing to provide comprehensive training for someone who is organized, analytical, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn the construction industry.

The Junior Estimator will support estimating and preconstruction efforts for a variety of public and private marine construction projects , with approximately 70% of the company's work consisting of public projects.

• Assist with preparing estimates and bids for public and private construction projects.
• Review project documents, specifications, drawings, and other bid information.
• Help gather and organize pricing, quantities, and project information.
• Perform data entry and basic cost analysis to support the estimating team.
• Maintain accurate estimating and project documentation.
• Communicate with internal team members regarding project requirements and deadlines.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Office applications to organize project and estimating information.
• Learn the construction estimating and bidding process through hands-on training and mentorship.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year of professional work experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook .
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with numbers and analyzing information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in developing a long-term career in construction estimating or project management .

This is a Permanent position based out of Westhampton Beach, NY.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
