Registered Nurse 2 – Specialty UHealth/SoLé Mia is launching work in September 2025 and seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 – Specialty for hire date September 2025. The role supports a wide range of specialties including cancer, eye, urology, neurology and neurosurgery programs. Core Job Functions Assesses assigned patients, evaluates and documents nursing care and vital signs. Modifies treatment plans per patient response and physician orders. Reviews diagnostic tests, consults with physicians and other health professionals, prepares patients for exams, procedures and treatments. Considers patient age and culture in care planning. Provides psychological support, performs tests, administers medications within scope, and maintains accurate medication records per regulatory bodies. Communicates plan of care to patients, families and team members ensuring HIPAA compliance. Assists with discharge planning, prioritizes assignments, operates medical equipment safely, and serves as preceptor for new staff. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Certification & Licensing: Florida Registered Nurse License, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
