Take your surgical expertise to the next level with this 13-week contract opportunity for skilled professionals with experience in Nursing-ORT and First Assist Tech. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to deliver high-quality, safe patient care in a perioperative setting.


Schedule:

• 5 shifts per week (8 hours each)
• Day shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Specific days to be finalized during the interview process

Qualifications:

• Unrestricted Ohio Nursing License required
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandated
• Demonstrated experience in an Operating Room environment, with proficiency as a First Assist Tech
• In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Ability to effectively apply the nursing process within the First Assistant role
• Skilled in using advanced life support equipment
• High degree of hand/eye coordination and mental attention
• Capacity to take Second Call responsibilities as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive first assist support to surgeons throughout operative procedures
• Ensure patient safety by establishing and maintaining a secure perioperative environment
• Utilize advanced clinical judgement while collaborating with surgeons and the surgical team
• Accurately document procedures and maintain clear communication with all healthcare professionals involved in patient care
• Respond efficiently to emergent situations and provide high-level support when on Second Call
