Hospital Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Wichita, Kansas laboratory operations. The role involves collecting blood specimens from diverse patient populations, processing samples, maintaining records, and delivering customer service. Monday-Friday shifts with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and related analyses
• Enter patient data accurately and maintain specimen information logs
• Process billing information and collect patient payments as required
• Prepare and transport collected specimens for laboratory testing

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program preferred
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience, or equivalent certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
