Overview TheLegal Department Internis a law student with an interest in various areas of law including construction, litigation, energy, and contracts Responsibilities Legal support to Development, Delivery, Sustainability, and Corporate groups on transactional, contract, and litigation issues. Litigation assistance including document review and discovery. Assistance with notice and demand letters and responses. Legal research and writing. Identification of proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks. Excellent business judgment and appropriate decision-making ability. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to synthesize and discuss complex matters. Adherence to ethical principles and strict compliance with confidentiality obligations. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of business leaders. Strategic thinking. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the various Associate General Counsels. Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications Current Law Student Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Travel Requirements Up to 5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical/Work Environment Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Climbing stairs. Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Quiet environment. Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
