Assignment Length: Initial 3-month contract Potential to extend Start Date: June 10 Openings: 1 Reason for Coverage: Long-term permanent search Practice Setting: Outpatient coverage Average 15 PPD Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p No weekends or call required Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric EMR: EPIC Credentialing: 21 days Requirements: Active Georgia licensure Board certification AHA BLS certification Minimum 1-year Cardiology experience or equivalent Travel Benefits: Only local candidates are being considered at this time Job Responsibilities (Generalized): Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices. Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care Document patient care accurately and thoroughly Skills: Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialty Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditions Time management skills to efficiently manage a patient workload Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team Education Requirements: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics) Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program Licenses & Certifications: Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Georgia National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners AANP ) Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Georgia National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum APP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty Additional Notes: Locum tenens APP positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months, to address staffing shortages in hospitals, surgical centers or other healthcare facilities These positions offer competitive pay and flexible schedules, allowing APPs to pursue diverse work environments and control their workload
