Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated shift, prescribing nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and members of the healthcare team to coordinate delivery of patient care across all age groups in an emergency and trauma setting
• Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care environment
• Incorporate patient and family teaching as well as discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at time of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 1 year of hire
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; each work history entry must include the charting system used

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certifications preferred
