**Position/Specialty:** L&D RN **Years of Experience Required:** 1.5 Years **First Timers Accepted:** NO **Certifications Required:** BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate course required **Locals Accepted:** NO **Travel Experience Required:** Yes **Preferred Experience:** - Previous Charge Experience - Trauma Level I Experience - High Risk OB Unit Experience **Special Requirements/Skills:** - L&D Travel Experience - Facility births/month 200-300 - Experience with NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks/edema assessment/clonus - Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Diabetes mellitus, Malpresentations (breech/face/brow) - Experience in Multiple Gestation, Placenta Previa/Abruptio, Pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, Premature Rupture of Membranes - Handling Preterm labor, RH incompatibilities, Uterine rupture, VBAC management/trial of labor - Administration of blood & blood products, Start & maintain peripheral IV, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips - Administration of Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, and Terbutaline - Experience with Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery - Recovery of C-Section, APGAR scores, Newborn assessment, Neonatal resuscitation - Experience with Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Pain assessment & management - Proficiency in Foley Catheter insertion, Fundus/lochia/perineum care, Wound assessment and care **Charting System Experience Required:** Cerner **Travelers University:** Must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. **License:** Must be in hand prior to start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once perm license applications have been submitted. **References:** 2 supervisor references required **Floating Requirements:** Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby. **Special Procedures/Unit Details:** Minimum 2-3 years L&D exp required.
