If you want to work at a prestigious law firm helping mainstream people like teachers and union employees with their legal needs, read on. You would be collaborating with a professional attorney team consulting with Legal Plan members on Estate Planning, Will and Trust issues.

Responsibilities:

• Within the Legal Counsel Team manage incoming calls
• Identify and assess members’ legal issues and document in our proprietary software.
• Letter writing and document reviews.
• Go the extra mile to engage customers and build a telephone relationship.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience practicing in the state of New York, specifically in Estates, Wills, and Trusts
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning and research skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients and work in a collaborative atmosphere.
• Strong customer service and personal service orientation
• Ability to ask pertinent questions, actively listen to answers and synthesize information in order to formulate advice based on sound judgment and strong knowledge of the law and legal precedence.
• Ability to keep clients and Firm matters confidential.

 
Job Description:
We are looking for a staff attorney to offer legal advice to individuals over the telephone. No case load. Must have been admitted to the NY Bar prior to 2023 and be in good standing. Retirees are welcome! The perfect candidate will have substantial experience in the practice of Estate Planning, Wills, and Trusts.

Starting salary of $85,000.00 plus benefits commensurate with experience
