Description
  • Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized tests and observational strategies.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
  • Provide essential education to patients and families to encourage progress outside of clinical interactions.
  • Conduct sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the treatment continuum.
  • Maintain precise and timely records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Pursue ongoing education and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based intervention methodologies for all age groups with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Remarkable interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Adept at modifying therapy methodologies to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.
