About the Role:
This position is for a Urologist who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering both outpatient and inpatient urologic services within a collaborative, team-based environment. You will have the opportunity to practice comprehensive medicine while contributing to expanded access to specialty care in a community-focused healthcare system.
The position supports clinical autonomy while emphasizing teamwork, continuity of care, and strong coordination with primary care and allied health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for a wide range of urologic conditions in both clinic and hospital settings
Perform and manage appropriate urologic procedures consistent with scope of practice and facility capabilities
Develop and oversee individualized treatment strategies in coordination with referring providers
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely medical records and clinical documentation
Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure appropriate clinical coding and documentation for services provided
Engage in care coordination efforts to support optimal patient outcomes
Contribute to departmental needs and clinical responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology preferred
Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in the applicable state
Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
Prior experience in surgical or acute care settings preferred
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient education and teamwork
