Manual Machinist

Job Description Job Description Join a well-established, employee-focused machine shop where you’ll work on a wide variety of custom and repair projects—not production. This is a hands-on direct hire role ideal for a machinist who enjoys problem-solving, independence, and high-quality work. What You’ll Do Operate manual lathes, vertical mills, and conversational CNC mills Machine parts from raw stock and repair/remanufacture customer components Set up and fixture parts (chucks, vises, angle plates, etc.) Perform threading, keyways, bearing fits, and general machining Read blueprints and plan machining processes Hold tight tolerances and inspect finished parts using precision tools Maintain a clean, safe work environment What You Bring Strong manual machining experience (lathe & mill required) Ability to read blueprints and hold tolerances Experience in a job shop or repair environment Knowledge of metals: steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, plastics Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Basic hand tools required High school diploma or GED Nice to Have: Conversational CNC experience Mastercam experience Strong mechanical aptitude Work Environment Job shop (variety of one-off and repair work) Fast-paced, team-oriented, not production-driven Monday-Friday 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM Benefits start after 90 days Why Work with Fuze HR?
