Locums - Macon, Georgia, NP/PA CVT Surgery Opening
Assignment Details Start Date: ASAPContract Length: OngoingSchedule: Monday - Friday, approximately 7:00 AM - 4:00/5:00 PMCoverage Includes: Clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and call coverageReason for need: Scheduling support for Cardiothoracic Surgery program
Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvide first assist support for cardiothoracic surgical casesPerform endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) for bypass proceduresSupport cardiac and thoracic surgeons in operative and perioperative careParticipate in inpatient rounding under attending surgeon direction as neededCollaborate with 2-3 employed APPs within the surgical programPotential future expansion into weekend inpatient rounding responsibilitiesAssigned and unassigned patient coverageAverage patients seen: 1 per day during call coverageExperience with DaVinci robotic platform preferred but not requiredDocument all care in EMR
Call CoverageShared weekday night call: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AMShared weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 7:00 AMCall responsibilities focused on emergency first assist surgical supportCall ratio: Approximately 1:2 to 1:3 (variable)Response time: 30 minutes
