Sterilization Technician

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Sterilization Technician to work at a facility in Fredericksburg, VA.

Pay Rate: $30 / hour

Duties:

Job Summary: As a Sterilization Technician, you will be supporting our clinical operations by ensuring that all instruments, equipment, and treatment areas are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained in accordance with the highest infection control standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring sterilized instruments and materials are properly arranged.
• Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment with attention to detail.
• Monitor and log sterilization cycles and ensure all documentation meets safety requirements.
• Support the clinical team by maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked sterilization area.
• Dispose of hazardous and biohazardous waste following proper protocols.
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to a clean, efficient, and positive working environment.

Required Skills & Experience: N/A

Preferred Skills & Experience: Previous dental or medical sterilization experience.

Education:

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: N/A

Required Certifications & Licensure: N/A

Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Dental Assistant Certification.
