Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – PACU Location: Saint Louis, MO Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Contract: 13 weeks Shift: Days | 4x10s | variable timing Charting: Epic Scrubs: Navy Blue Requirements 2 years of PACU experience in a Level I Trauma Center 2 years of critical care/ICU experience required Level I Trauma experience required BLS & ACLS required CCRN/TNCC preferred Strong experience with high-acuity PACU and critical-care patients Responsibilities Provide Phase I PACU care for high-acuity surgical patients. Monitor and manage patients recovering from general anesthesia. Care for ventilated patients and patients requiring artificial airways. Manage invasive monitoring, ICP monitoring, drains, vasoactive drips, and blood products. Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG/rhythm monitoring, and pre-op assessments. Care for patients following neurosurgery, trauma, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, transplant, general, colorectal, GYN, urology, and other procedures. Float within scope to PACU or Pre-Op as needed.
