Commercial Semi-Trailer Repair SpecialistRole snapshot (Lenexa, KS)

Help keep freight moving by ensuring semi trailers are safe, compliant, and performing at their best. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain critical systems while collaborating with a team that prizes quality workmanship and clear communication.

Core responsibilities

Routine service and corrective repairs on semi trailers: brakes, lighting, electrical, and suspension systems.
End-to-end diagnostics for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults; implement effective solutions.
Comprehensive safety and compliance inspections; provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
Thorough documentation of services performed, parts used, and inspection outcomes.
Cross-team collaboration to meet deadlines and uphold service standards.
Continuous learning—stay aligned with industry standards, OEM specs, and best practices.
Customer-facing communication to explain findings, repair options, and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
Proven background as a semi trailer technician or similar heavy-duty repair role.
Proficiency across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Comfortable reading/using technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
Analytical problem-solver with high attention to detail.
Clear communicator and dependable teammate.
Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings/weekends.
