All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Coyote Valley Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and Objectives, and in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Value Statement of the Coyote Valley Casino. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Shall ensure the safety of customers and employees while on the premises of the Coyote Valley Casino. Assisting patrons and employees and respond to critical situations (Medical emergencies, irate patrons, etc.) Continual observation and patrolling casino premises, corridors, bar area, office area and parking lot of the Coyote Valley Casino. Shall report in writing any violations, acts, or situations which are detrimental to the best interest of the Coyote Valley Casino. Shall assist other casino departments as requested (table fills, in jackpot pay outs, Vault drop, ect…) Assist the Security Dispatch Desk, when requested. Learn and follow the Security Standard Operations Procedure (SOP) Manual. Shall maintain the strictest of confidentiality with respect to the internal functions of the Security Department as well as any other confidential information. Must be able to work well with Co-workers/Supervisor/Managers. Must consistently demonstrate a high level of customer service to customers, and represent the casino in a friendly and professional manner. May be asked to perform various duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor, Security Manager or Casino Shift Manager. Must maintain a good attendance record. Qualifications / Requirements 1. Shall be presentable to the public and have the ability to interact favorably with the public. 2. Shall be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course. 3. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, birthdays and holidays. 4. Must have good observations skills. 5. Must have good writing and spelling skills. 6. Must maintain a pleasant, positive attitude. Education / Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent Prior Security Experience Preferred Language Skills Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally in English. Reasoning Ability Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The Employee is also regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate loud. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an intense environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform the required job duties. The work environment is not smoke free. Other Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
