Float Patient Care Technician (PCT)

DaVita is hiring a Float Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in our outpatient dialysis clinics. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Coverage Area: This position requires floating to all outpatient clinics in the greater Fort Wayne area, including our Auburn and Kendallville locations on occasion.

Schedule Requirements: You must have a flexible schedule to work 3 to 4 shifts per week, including 2 Saturdays per month.

Shift Times: Shifts can start as early as 3:45am and can end as late as 9:00 - 10:00 pm for closers, depending on the clinic's hours of operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development ("GED") credential, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
