IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Lawrenceville, GA

An experienced IV/Chemo Pharmacy Technician is needed for a 13-week contract at an outpatient oncology infusion center specializing in chemotherapy and hematology treatments. This role requires strong expertise in oncology pharmacy operations, including administering chemotherapy and managing implanted port access.


Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting March 23
Travel Requirement: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology/infusion pharmacy
• Current Georgia pharmacy technician license required
• IV certification with demonstrated skills in IV starts and implanted port access
• Chemotherapy certification mandatory
• Experience working in outpatient oncology infusion centers
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy administration and hematology treatments (no blood transfusions)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments according to established protocols
• Access and manage implanted ports for infusions
• Collaborate closely with oncology healthcare team to ensure patient safety and adherence to treatment plans
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy and infusion center standards
• Document all procedures and treatments accurately

Contract Details:

• 13-week duration beginning March 23
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Must be willing to travel; candidates within 50 miles of the worksite are not eligible
