TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70816!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Telemetry or Medsurg nursing, cardiac drips, EKG License: Compact or State License required upon submission Certifications: BLS, NIH, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry and Medsurg experience, ability to interpret dysrhythmias, experience managing cardiac drips without titration, familiarity with Epic charting system Description: Travelers may be assigned to an "Emergency Team" during unexpected events. Expectations will include staying at the facility until the event has passed or participating in relief efforts. Specific pay details for emergency events will be communicated as needed. Travelers should only apply if they are comfortable with these responsibilities. Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 4 designated holiday periods annually, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Holiday assignments will be based on departmental needs and staff rotation. Day shift to patient ratio is 1:5, while night shift is 1:6. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating to other units may be necessary. Call requirements may also apply. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and other support teams. Candidates must possess skills such as cardiac telemetry, managing IVs, and adhering to isolation precautions. Knowledge in various telemetry techniques and patient care is essential. References may be required to obtain clearance to start the contract. This role requires a thorough understanding of patient care for adult and geriatric populations. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate proficiency in handling medical emergencies effectively.
