Travel Nurse EducatorShift: Days Monday - Friday normally 9 hour days between 600a - 900p including 60 minute uncompensated meal breakDescription: Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform physical exams and health histories. Provide health promotion, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions. Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals. Make patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situations. Communicate and collaborate with diverse groups to inform the healthcare team of plans and actions. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. Maintain productivity comparable to peers performing similar services. Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities. Practice aseptic techniques as necessary and comply with infection control guidelines. Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures. Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations, following established protocols. Anticipate potential problems and make appropriate interventions. Apply an awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care. Participate in the implementation of relevant programs, including medical examination, documentation, and reporting. Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient rights. Maintain responsibility and accountability for professional practice. Engage in continuing education for professional growth. Participate in performance improvement programs and identify opportunities to improve care. Provide in-service training to clinic staff and assist with training/support for healthcare workers. Attend various meetings as directed. Document patient care accurately and concisely. Operate automated systems and participate in clinical staff performance improvement. Maintain documentation of treatment in accordance with clinic directives. Manage care within the health promotion and disease prevention domain. Collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate data to assess trends and deliver health promotion services. Assess education needs of patients and their families and provide verbal and written instructions. Provide coordinated nursing care interventions using established clinical practice guidelines. Be part of a multidisciplinary team assessing health promotion risks and developing educational programs. Coordinate and deliver reports to teams and consult with existing departments to meet patient goals. Provide various levels of intervention to improve the patient's health and wellness efforts. Educate patients on disease processes and apply strategies to enhance engagement. Conduct both formal and informal educational interventions and follow-up consultations. Evaluate achievement of learning objectives and provide appropriate follow-up. Assess educational needs and provide counseling on health promotion and disease prevention. Use behavior change theories and techniques for individual and group interventions. Implement and evaluate health promotion programs for diverse populations. Coordinate health promotion and wellness-based programs among leadership and target populations. Coordinate special projects like workshops and health fairs. Document educational activities and ensure compliance with standards for patient confidentiality. Lead a multidisciplinary team to assess health promotion risks and evaluate educational programs.Qualifications: Possess a Master's degree in Nursing, Health Promotion, Education, Community/Public Health or Wellness, or a Health Science related field from an accredited university. General Knowledge: Possess at least two years of full-time experience as a health educator within the last four years working with Health Promotions and Wellness campaigns to include tobacco/nicotine cessation, diabetes prevention/management, weight management, stress management, sleep psychoeducation, nutrition, exercise, heart health, or disease management/prevention. Lead position requires at least 4 years experience Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA or ARC. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a RN
