Inventory Control ClerkThe Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for performing basic physical inventory and systematic inventory control functions that relate to the daily needs of the business in order to support the production environment. The Inventory Control Clerk ensures the accuracy of inventory as well as the preservation of the condition of materials in storage, handling, and transportation.Responsibilities include:Processing and inputting all PO receipts into SAP including in-transit materialEntering material movement data within SAP systemMaintaining a good working relationship with internal customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints concerning receipts, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and efficient mannerOrganizing and maintaining a clean and organized work area at all timesScheduling incoming deliveries from suppliers and carriersReceiving and unloading incoming materials and comparing information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipmentsLabeling of incoming goods before storageMaintaining the correct quantities of inventory for the warehouseReceiving orders from customers and filling them in a timely mannerInspecting shipments for damages or defects. Recording discrepancies or damages and notifying supervisor and/or QA departmentSorting, counting, packaging, ensuring proper labeling, unpacking and/or logging inventory that is shipped, received or kittedMaintaining Key Performance Indicators related to the inventory control processesAbility to work overtimeComplying with all safety rules and regulationsExhibiting continuous improvement-oriented behavior
