Senior Preclinical Interventionalist

Abbott seeks a Senior Preclinical Interventionalist in Plymouth, Minnesota to support electrophysiology product development. The role involves executing preclinical studies, designing validation testing, analyzing data, and consulting on clinical workflows for diagnostic and therapeutic EP devices.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert for EP product use during preclinical studies
- Design, conduct, and supervise bench and preclinical studies for product validation
- Train internal staff and physician customers on EP products in preclinical settings
- Organize, analyze experimental data, and prepare technical reports and documentation
- Support risk management and regulatory submission documentation development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, biomedical science, or medical/clinical science
- 5+ years preclinical interventionalist experience; cardiac electrophysiology device experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication across organizational levels
- Technical leadership skills with ability to mentor junior staff
- Experience in fast-paced, matrixed business environments
- Ability to travel 10-25%
Compensation: $78,000–$156,000 base
