About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Greensboro, North Carolina, 27403!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - EKG exam pass required during onboarding - EPIC charting system experience Description: No option for 13 weeks; candidates must accept for 26 weeks if offered. The posted specialty requires EKG competency for all RNs in a telemetry-capable unit. The patient population will primarily be medical/surgical-related. Three shifts of 12 hours each on nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required. Charge RN shifts may be assigned as needed. Floating across all facilities may be necessary. All travelers will be required to float as needed. BLS certification is mandatory. A comprehensive EKG exam must be passed during onboarding. Patient-to-nurse ratios will be 1:6. Travelers will utilize rapid response teams as needed. Blood product administration, peripheral line care management, and IV starts are routine duties. Heparin, insulin, and PCA management are required. Isolation precautions must always be followed. Qualified candidates should have experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, feeding tube care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Management of dysrhythmias and wound care/wound vac skills are necessary. Travel experience is required. All candidates must be prepared to adhere to compliance with healthcare regulations.
